When I look back at the journey that shaped who I am today—a digital marketer, a storyteller, and a lifelong learner—one name stands at the core of it all: Daffodil International University (DIU).
From the very beginning, DIU wasn’t just a place where I pursued academic degrees—it became my training ground for leadership, creativity, and personal growth. I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Marketing at DIU, but more than the textbooks, it was my campus life, club involvement, and real-world exposure that defined my university years.
From Classrooms to Campus Movements
I was never just a face in the crowd. My time at DIU was marked by active participation in almost all major student clubs—not just as a member, but as a leader, planner, and organizer.
One of my earliest journeys began with the Daffodil International University Photographic Society (DIUPS). Starting as an online moderator, I focused on boosting the club’s digital presence. Back then, the official Facebook page had around 2,000 followers. By consistently curating engaging content and planning outreach strategies, I helped grow the page to over 10,000 followers. That experience was my first hands-on taste of digital marketing—and I was hooked. Later, I became the Organizing Secretary, managing and executing numerous photography events and exhibitions that made an impact on campus.
Founding Something Bigger: DIU Marketing Club
One of the proudest chapters of my DIU life was being part of the founding committee of the DIU Marketing Club. As the Vice-President, I led initiatives that extended beyond our department. Together with a passionate team, we brought to life some of the biggest interdepartmental events at DIU—events like Mr. and Ms. Marketing and the DIU Marketing Fest, which soon became signature events for the university. These experiences gave me deep insights into event management, strategic planning, and team leadership—skills that continue to serve me in my professional life today.
More Than One Hat: DIU Business & Education Club
My involvement didn’t stop there. I also served as Vice-President of the DIU Business and Education Club, where we organized workshops, competitions, and training sessions aimed at bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications. These platforms allowed students to develop soft skills, explore career paths, and connect with professionals from different industries.
Giving Back Through DIU Prothom Alo Bondhusabha
Another meaningful chapter was my role as Organizing Secretary of DIU Prothom Alo Bondhusabha—the campus wing of Prothom Alo, one of the most widely read newspapers in Bangladesh. Through this platform, we went beyond campus boundaries, engaging in social work, fundraising, donation drives, and flood relief campaigns. We also organized cultural programs, study tours, and awareness campaigns that connected students to society at large.
Representing the University, Always
Due to my deep involvement in various clubs, I was frequently part of the organizing and volunteer teams behind the major university events hosted by DIU itself. Whether it was the Club Carnival, Career Fest, or academic symposiums, I was there—not just as a participant, but as a contributor.
A Grateful Recognition
At the end of my incredible journey, I was humbled and honored to receive the “Best Contributor Award” from DIU. It was more than a trophy—it was a reminder that consistent contribution, teamwork, and leadership truly make a difference.
Final Thoughts: Gratitude Beyond Words
Daffodil International University was never just about classes and grades for me. It was a launchpad for everything I’ve achieved so far, both academically and professionally. Every club I joined, every event I helped organize, and every responsibility I took on helped shape the digital marketer—and the person I am today.
I’m forever grateful to DIU for providing me the environment to grow, lead, and dream. Wherever I go, I’ll carry this part of my story with pride.
