Living abroad often feels lonely, far away from family and childhood friends. But sometimes life surprises us with the most beautiful gifts — like reuniting with a friend after many years. Recently, my childhood friend Tabassum Ahmed Arpita traveled all the way from the USA to visit me here in Sweden, and together we created memories that I’ll cherish forever.
The Reunion We Dreamed Of
The last time Arpita and I met in Bangladesh, we spoke about a dream — that one day, we would meet again, maybe not in Dhaka or Kishoreganj, but somewhere abroad. We laughed about it back then, but destiny had its own plans. And finally, that dream came true here in Stockholm.
Day 1: Exploring Nynäshamn
On the first day, I took Tabassum Ahmed Arpita to Nynäshamn, a small coastal town near Stockholm. The sound of the waves, the calm sea, and the fresh air made it a perfect start to her trip. We walked around, talked endlessly, and enjoyed the peaceful beauty of Sweden together.
Day 2: Stockholm City & Gamla Stan
The next day was all about exploring Stockholm itself. From the busy streets of Stockholm City to the colorful old buildings of Gamla Stan (Old Town), every corner felt magical. Sharing these experiences with Arpita made the city tour more special, as it turned into a journey of memories rather than just sightseeing.
Friendship Goals Unlocked
This vlog and blog are not about giving a travel guide — it’s about capturing the essence of true friendship. When childhood dreams turn into reality, and small moments become lifelong memories, that’s when you realize how priceless friendship really is.
For me, this reunion with Tabassum Ahmed Arpita was more than just a visit; it was proof that distance and time can never break the bond of true friends.
